Tryst Update: In the Community — April '26

Every month we round up what's happening in the Tryst community. Here's what's been going on in April.

Community Fundraising

This month, several providers on Tryst organised fundraising efforts for sex worker advocacy organisations. The community raised over $8,000 for SWOP chapters across the US and Canada — an incredible show of solidarity.

Provider Spotlight

We've been featuring profiles of long-term Tryst members who've built successful independent practices. This month we spoke with providers in Chicago, Toronto, and Melbourne about how they've grown their businesses over the past few years.

A recurring theme: the providers who thrive long-term are the ones who treat it like a real business — with screening processes, consistent communication, and a clear sense of their own brand and boundaries.

Platform Updates

A few things we've been working on:

  • Improved search filters for clients — better city and availability filtering
  • Profile analytics — providers can now see how many people viewed their profile each week
  • Enhanced verification — we've updated our identity verification process to be faster and more secure

Advocacy News

The ongoing conversation around decriminalisation continues in several jurisdictions. We continue to support sex worker-led advocacy groups who are doing the important work of pushing for legal frameworks that prioritise provider safety and autonomy.

If you want to get involved, SWOP and similar organisations in your area are always looking for support — financial, volunteer, or just spreading awareness.

Until Next Month

Thanks to everyone who makes the Tryst community what it is. We'll see you in May.
